How to Export Process Builders (single or multiple) in XLS in few clicks in salesforce?

Requirement:
For any Salesforce Admin or developer, if there is a requirement to export or document all or any specific "Process Builders" in the system in XLS

- For a developer, it will be a tedious and time taking job. User would have to open each process builders and copy its contents one by one using Salesforce Standard process.  These type of work requests would take much more effort and time, but with our Salesforce Appexchange Bulk Object Field Creator (BOFC) App user can easily "Export (Single or Multiple) Process Builders" within same Salesforce org in few clicks.

Few Simple Steps to Export Multiple Process Builders

1. Open the BOFC Home > Click "Export Process Builders in Bulk"




2. It will open below screen for "Export Process Builder" page. Now click "Fetch Active Processes" button

If it shows below red message on the screen, then click on Manage Org Details, otherwise goto next step 3.

There seems to be Firewall which is restricting API Callout to fetch details.
Please add a new connection using "Manage Org details" button for your current org with all the appropriate details and use it.

Once "Manage Org details" is clicked, then click on "New Environment" button to add a details for current org.

Add details for current environment and Save it (Click ? infront of each field for any help)

Once details are added and saved, then close this "Manage Environment" popup and it will show the same process builder page (where it shows red error message).

Now select the environment which you just added and click "Fetch Active Processes"

3. Once "Fetch Active Processes" is clicked, it will show below screen. Wait until Status is changed to Completed.

    Once status is changed to completed, it will show a link "View Results"

4. Click "View Results", and it will list all the "Active" Process Builders in the system
Above image has many features (each number has its description as below):
  1. User can view process summary for each process builder by clicking this link (once clicked, scroll to the end of page to view summary).
  2. User can export (in XLS) list of all the process builders WITHOUT process summary using this button.
  3. User can export (in XLS) list of all the SELECTED process builders WITH process summary using this button.
  4. Pagination will help user to navigate to next/previous page, if total count for process builders is greater than 80.
  5. User can select the process builders using this checkbox and can export using button 3.

How to Update Field Permissions in BULK (using XLS) for Multiple Profiles and Multiple Objects in salesforce?

Requirement:
For any Salesforce Admin or developer, if there is a requirement to perform below actions for single or multiple objects for multiple profiles:
  • Update Field Permissions (using XLS) for multiple profiles and for multiple objects
- For a developer, managing field permissions actions for single or multiple objects in Salesforce is a tedious and time taking job. User would have to open each field profiles one by one for an object using Salesforce Standard process. These type of work requests would take much more effort and time, but with our Salesforce AppExchange Bulk Object Field Creator (BOFC) App user can (Update field permissions) for multiple objects and for multiple profiles within same Salesforce org in few clicks.

Few Simple Steps to UPDATE Field Permissions:

1. Open the BOFC Home > Goto Field Permissions Section & click "Bulk Update Field Permissions"


2. It will open below screen for Field Permissions. Select "Update Field Permissions" as "action type" from the radio buttons




3. Once update is selected, it will show below screen:
Please select single or multiple objects, and select single or multiple profiles. Once done then   click on "Click to Initiate Export (as xls)" button.

4. Please don't refresh your page, until status is changed to "Completed"
Once it is completed, it will show below screen
Click on Download link as per above image and your file for field permissions is ready for download for multiple objects.

5. So we are done till Step 3. Now only update part is left. User can open the file which is exported in last step.
Export Results for Field Permissions
Few pointers to note down:
1. Each Object has its own tab in same excel sheet
2. Each Profile has two columns. One for Edit and One for Read
3. GREEN colour represents TRUE and ORANGE colour represents FALSE

User can modify the field permissions in the same file and can save it.

6. Now Upload your updated file on BOFC Field Permission page as highlighted in STEP 4
On upload, it will show below screen, Now select your field row (single or multiple) and click "Update Field Permissions".

to Check Whether your field permission are updated or not

Go to >> profiles >> select profile Name >> Field-Level Security >> select object for which you want to update field permissions

How to "Clone object" (Standard or Custom) in salesforce in few clicks?



Requirement:
For any Salesforce Admin or developer, if there is a requirement to Clone Standard or Custom Object (with Object details, Custom fields, Validation rules, Record types)

- For a developer, Clone object in Salesforce is a tedious and time taking job. User would have to open and copy each field, validation rules, record types one by one for an object using Salesforce Standard process.  These type of work requests would take much more effort and time, but with our Salesforce Appexchange Bulk Object Field Creator (BOFC) App user can clone multiple objects within same Salesforce org in few clicks.

  1. Select Source Object
  2. Enter details for Target object label and name
  3. User can choose either one or multiple action(s):
    1. Clone All custom fields except relationship and formula fields 
    2. Clone All Relationship fields
    3. Clone All Formula fields
    4. Clone validation and record types
  4. Field Permissions: 
    1. Clone Field Permission of Source Object fields to new fields
    2. Select new profiles for new fields
  5. Button "Click here to initiate process" - On clicking this button, it will start process to clone all the selected actions to target object
4. Once "Click here to initiate process" button is clicked, it will add a new section on same page to share clone status against each action:

5. Click "Create" infront of each row one by one and wait for process to complete. Once all create are clicked, you are done with your object cloning.

How to activate Full Version for Bulk Object Field Creator?




BOFC is native salesforce application which helps devs or admins to perform bulk CRUD operations, and also helps to manage salesforce configurations. This application has two versions:
  1. Free version
  2. Paid version
Free version can be installed directly from AppExchange page of BOFC using link. Free version has all the features or capabilities which are available in Full version, but free version is limited to some extent.
for eg:
          In Free version, user can create upto 30 fields in bulk, but in Full Version there are NO limits
          In Free version, user can delete upto 10 fields in bulk, but in Full Version there are NO limits


Full Version: Once user is happy and find the app useful, it can opt to upgrade from Free version to Paid version. User can purchase Paid version from the official webpage of BOFC https://www.bofc.io

Once a full version licence is purchased, user will receive an email with Activation KEY. Please follow below steps to activate full version.


Few Simple Steps to Activate Full Version of BOFC

1. If Classic - Login to Salesforce > Goto Applications dropdown > Click "Bulk Object Field Creator"

    If Lightning - Login to Salesforce > Click on App Launcher > Click "Bulk Object Field Creator"



2. It will open BOFC Home page as shown below. Click "Settings" on the BOFC header


3. Click Settings and it will open below screen.


4. It will open the below screen. Copy the activation key from the email and enter in the highlighted box.

    Just copy the key and place it in this highlighted box and click "Activate Full Version". It will take few seconds and will load the below screen.


5. Done
