How to Delete "Multiple Validation Rules" for multiple objects in few clicks in salesforce?

 Requirement:

For any Salesforce Admin or developer, if there is a requirement to Delete multiple validation rules for multiple objects (for any Standard or Custom Object)

Few Simple Steps to Delete Validation Rules in salesforce
1. Open the BOFC Home > Click "Bulk Create ,Update, Delete & Export Validation Rules".

2. It will open below screen for validation rules.
3. Select the "Type of Operation as Delete" from the dropdown and screen looks like below image

  1. Select the type of operation as Delete from the dropdown.
  2. Select the single or multiple object for which you want to delete the validation rules.
  3. Click on Fetch Existing Rule Button to get validation rule of selected objects.
4. After click on Fetch Existing Rule Button , it will fetch all the validation rules for selected object:-

  1. Select the checkbox infront of each row to delete the validation rules.
  2. Click on Delete Rules Button to delete validation rules.
5. After clicking on Delete Rules button, validation rules are deleted and successful message shows like Rules Deleted Successfully and screen look like below image:-

    3. Choose the XLS file to create validation rules.

    4. After Selecting the XLS file from the system , it will fetch all the validation rules for selected object:-

    - Changing Rule Error Condition, Error message, Description, Error field for multiple rules.
    - Changing Rule status from Active to Inactive or vice-versa for multiple rules.

    How to Delete multiple Custom Fields in Salesforce in few clicks?

    Requirement:

    For any Salesforce Admin or developer, if there is a requirement to delete multiple Custom Fields for multiple objects (Standard or Custom). 

    - For a developer, it would be tedious job to open and delete each field one by one using Salesforce Standard process.These type of work requests would take much more effort and time.

    Benefits of using BOFC Application for updating fields:
    1. Supports both Standard and Custom Objects
    2. User can delete fields of multiple Objects in single click
    3. User can delete multiple fields of a multiple types in single click
    4. User can delete fields easily using XLS.

    Few Simple Steps to Delete Multiple Custom Fields in salesforce
    1. Open the BOFC Home > Click "Bulk Field Deletion"


    2. It will open below screen for BOFC Delete Fields
     User can display list of fields using two methods:
    1. Show Directly: Once objects are selected and this method is selected, on clicking "Display Custom Fields", it will display the list of custom fields for the selected objects in the form of table.
    2. Using XLS: User can download the XLS file for all the custom fields for the selected objects. User can filter the sheet and can mark which fields needs to be deleted. Once the sheet is ready, user can upload the final sheet and can delete multiple fields in single click.

    Let's review the XLS process in detail:

    1. Select multiple "objects" from drop down, Select the method as Download as xls to delete fields and  Click on "Download as xls" button
     Steps:
        1. Select single or multiple objects
        2. Select Method to Delete
        3. Click on Download as xls and wait for couple of seconds for process to complete (as shown in below image)
        
        a. User can click on [Download] as per above screenshot to download all fields in XLS
        b. Open excel and modify your field details and save file as xls or xlsx
        c. Open your BOFC Delete Field page and drag or select your excel file.

    2.  Drag file on page and it displays all the fields in tabular format

    1. User can filter fields by object or field names
    2. Pagination - This page has a pagination if count of fields is more than 80.  Each page shows 80 fields. User can use ">" or "<" or "<<" or ">>" buttons to navigate on other pages.
    3. User can select the checkbox infront of each row.
    4.  "Delete Fields" - On clicking this button, it will Delete all the selected fields for object.
    3. Once the Delete action is completed, it will show "Success or Error" status message in-front of each row.

    How to Export Process Builders (single or multiple) in XLS in few clicks in salesforce?

    For any Salesforce Admin or developer, if there is a requirement to export or document all or any specific "Process Builders" in the system in XLS


    - For a developer, it will be a tedious and time taking job. User would have to open each process builders and copy its contents 

    one by one using Salesforce Standard process.  These type of work requests would take much more effort and time, but with 
    our Salesforce Appexchange Bulk Object Field Creator (BOFC) App user can easily "Export (Single or Multiple) Process Builderswithin same Salesforce org in few clicks.

    Few Simple Steps to Export Multiple Process Builders

    User can export process builders from multiple salesforce org. Click on Manage Org Details to add any new org,otherwise goto next step 3.

    Once "Manage Org details" is clicked, then click on "New Environment" button to add a details for current org.
    Add details for current environment and Save it (Click ? infront of each field for any help)

    Once details are added and saved, then close this "Manage Environment" popup and it will show the same process builder page (where it shows red error message).


    Now select the environment which you just added and click "Fetch Active Processes"
    3. Once "Fetch Active Processes" is clicked, it will show below screen. Wait until Status is changed to Completed.
        Once status is changed to completed, it will show a link "View Results"

    4. Click "View Results", and it will list all the "Active" Process Builders in the system

      1. User can select object name.
      2. User can select process name of selected object.
      3. Click on "Apply Filter" button to get process builders on the basis of applied filter condition.
      4. User can reset applied filter by click on "Reset filter"
      5. User can view process summary for each process builder by clicking this link (once clicked, scroll to the end of page to view summary).
      6. User can export (in XLS) list of all the process builders WITHOUT process summary using this button.
      7. User can export (in XLS) list of all the SELECTED process builders WITH process summary using this button.
      8. Pagination will help user to navigate to next/previous page, if total count for process builders is greater than 50.User can 
      9. User can select the process builders using this checkbox and can export using button 7.

      How to Update"Field Permissions" for Multiple Objects for Multiple Permission sets in few clicks?

      Requirement:
      For any Salesforce Admin or developer, if there is a requirement to perform below actions for single or multiple objects for multiple permission sets:
      • Update Field Permissions (in XLS)
      - For a developer, managing field permissions actions for single or multiple objects in Salesforce is a tedious and time taking job. User would have to open each field permission set one by one for an object using Salesforce Standard process.  These type of work requests would take much more effort and time, but with our Salesforce Appexchange Bulk Object Field Creator (BOFC) App user can (Compare or Export or Update) field permissions for multiple objects and for multiple Permission sets within same Salesforce org in few clicks.

      3. Once Permission Set is selected, it will show below screen:

      Please select single or multiple objects, and select single or multiple permission sets. Once done then click on "Click to Initiate Export (as xls)" button.

      5. Please don't refresh your page, until status is changed to "Completed".
       Once it is completed, it will show below screen

      Click on Download link as per above image and your file for field permissions is ready for download for multiple objects.


      6.  So we are done till Step 5. Now only update part is left. User can open the file which is exported in last step.
                                                  Export Results for Field Permissions

      Few pointers to note down:
      1. Each Object has its own tab in same excel sheet
      2. Each Profile has two columns. One for Edit and One for Read
      3. GREEN colour represents TRUE and ORANGE colour represents FALSE

      User can modify the field permissions in the same file and can save it.

      7. Now Upload your updated file on BOFC Field Permission page as highlighted in STEP 5
      On upload, it will show below screen, Now select your field row (single or multiple) and click "Update Field Permissions".
